Like a fine wine Richard has got better with age and enjoyed a real purple patch through September with strong displays at 8 for the first team seeing him win two ‘man of the match’ awards. Richard’s commitment to fitness is really paying dividends with strong running and great set piece being a feature of his displays so far.

Vince Betty’s strong, direct running has been a feature of the second team performances helping him stand out in a team that is picking up from where it left off as league champions last season. Vince’s commitment to the team is evident in everything he does, from barnstorming runs and big defence in the midfield to balancing his babysitting duties mid game. There’s no doubt there is a big season ahead for the great 12.

The third team shocked a few doubters making it through some big challenges to remain undefeated in September. One of the great new players we have down at the club and deserving player of the month is flying winger Ben Sutton. Ben has only recently joined Old Bedians but has made a big impact in the team with his pace and agility making him a real threat to opposition sides. It will be great to watch his progress over the course of the season.
