It may not have been the most successful day on the pitch for Old Bedians or England, but there were still plenty of winners at the club yesterday!

With only a week until the Rugby World Cup rolls into Manchester, our 'Bring a friend to rugby' came to its conclusion. In the end, a dead heat between stalwarts James Kington and Lloyd Cawthorne ensued, with both players persuading an impressive three players each to play for us this season already! A tie-breaking draw to separate the two saw Lloyd's entry for David Duncan drawn out. Lloyd and David win tickets to England v Uruguay next Saturday at the Etihad Stadium.

The remaining entries were then entered into a second draw, with Jordi Gore's entry for introducing Chris Johnson being the lucky winner, joining Lloyd and David at the same game!

However, huge credit must go to all those who qualified for entry, inlcuding: Lloyd Cawthorne (3), James Kington (3), Seb Lloyd (2), Tom Fuller, Jordi Gore, Jamie Simmons, Eugene Henry and Diego Miguez.

The fun wasn't over there though! As some light relief from the disappointing action at Twickenham, a raffle for a 2015 Wales shirt, signed by the World Cup squad was held. This raised a further £125 for The Christie, following our successful Charity Day last month. The lucky winner was Chris Turner, a committed parent of some of our Young Bedians!

Finally, the eagerly anticipated quarterly Car Club winner was drawn, and huge congratulations to Steve Driscoll whose card was drawn.

If you want to enter the Car Club, for a chance to win £750 each quarter, download the form linked below and bring it to Barrie Carroll, or email us at oldbedians@gmail.com!
