Bedians 2nd XV Continue Winning Streak
Unbeaten since November 2016
The last time Old Bedians 2nd XV lost a game was November 2016, you have to look even further back if you want to find the last time Old Bedians 2nd XV lost a match on the hallowed turf of millgate lane. The winning streak continued in this encounter against Broughton Park 3rd XV.
This game was even for long periods the score at half time was 14-3 courtesy of two tries by inside centre Campbell, Broughton Park struck back immediately after the break to make it 14-10. A this point though Bedians started playing with more structure really getting into gear. Tries went to Michael Gallagher, Lloyd Cawthorne, Vince Betty (2) even James Hennigan flopped off the back of a rolling maul to score.
While the score line suggests a dominant game by Bedians we were flattered by multiple scores late in the second half when Broughton Park started to fade this was a game which was even around the park for the majority of the game. Bedians brought a strong scrummaging game and direct centre partnership to play all game. When this was finally coupled with organisation around the park in the second half Bedians started to cross the whitewash. Another win, on to next week!
