On Saturday, Old Bedians hosted a hugely successful Lloyd Cawthorne Memorial day. It opened with a game of touch Rugby, followed by the main event with Old Bedians past and present turning out alongside the University of Manchester Physics Rugby team, which was originally founded by Lloyd.

It was a very entertaining and competitive game of Rugby, which saw both sides continually battle for the lead throughout the game. As this was also Old Bedian's first game of the season, this was a perfect opportunity to become accustomed to the new tacking laws ahead of the new season.

As previously announced, we were also raising money for two charities close to our hearts: Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) and Andy's Man Club. The entire day was a fitting tribute to such a great man, and a large sum of money has been raised for the chosen charities.
