All three to receive a beanie hat for those cold winter nights!

December was a month of mixed results for Bedians, the 2nd XV chalked up a win in their only game, the 3rd XV won one, lost one and the 1st XV had a hard fought victory against Prenton and two close losses against high flying Ramsey and Ellesmere Port.

A number of players demonstrated dedication during December with solid match performances and enthusiastic attitudes on those cold Wednesday night training sessions, three players in particular caught the eye of the coaches and captains.

1st XV - Ryan Keane
Playing all three December games at full back, Ryan Keane wins the award for the 1st XV.
Club captain Ben Rogerson commented on Ryan's award, "He was rock solid under the high ball against Ramsey who kicked all match and he also had a great performance at 15 against Prenton in a tight win. Ryan also trained hard all month in cold December weather!"

2nd XV - Jack Newsome
The 2nd XV had one game in December against the Spartans in a spirited win which will long remain in the memories of all those who played in it. Jack Newsome shown through, changing his plans last minute to play with his teammates and he left everything on the pitch.
Jack has worked extremely hard to get back to full fitness following shoulder surgery, his dedication to the club, his teammates and a love of marauding runs through defence is admired by all.

3rd XV - Stevie Cook
Having overcome a number of operations Stevie Cook has been fantastic for the 3rd XV this season. Post wrist surgery his line out throws have been straighter than ever, some say it was a miracle cure! Club coach Mike Gallagher said, "Club stalwart Cookie has been an inspiration to all at the rugby club with his never say never mentality. His experience is invaluable to the 3rd XV especially with all the young talent we have coming through the club."

*Steve also volunteers as fundraising secretary on the committee raising much needed funds for the sports club. One of the simplest ways supporters and players can raise funds for the club is through easy fundraising, a way to give back to the club whilst online shopping.
