Old Bedians RUFC is saddened to learn of the loss of former player and chairman Keith Seville whilst visiting overseas.

Our deepest sympathies and condolences are extended to Keith’s family.

Keith worked tirelessly on behalf of the club for many years back as far as the 1970s .

He will be remembered as having made a huge contribution to the club, firstly as a hugely fit, grafting, competitive and motivated back row player at 1st XV level and then onwards through many, many seasons as captain for the 2nds and the 3rds. Keith worked tirelessly behind the scenes, organising many events and as an all round ‘go-to-guy’ when anyone needed something doing with immediate effect.

A huge part of Keith’s time with us was his involvement with Old Bedians Vets XV, Keith was an intrinsic part of a great group. All who played and socialised alongside him in those days will remember Keith with fondness and a wry smile.

As well as his contributions to Old Bedians, Keith committed a great deal of time and energy to our neighbours at Heaton Moor Rugby Club, and was recognised there with a lifetime achievement award.

All in all, there are many stories to be told, Keith was one of Bedians real characters and left his mark on many. Keith was visiting Thailand when the accident took place.

May Keith Rest in Peace.

As yet no further details are available regarding dates and times for funeral arrangements.
