Player of the month: October

With some superb performances on the pitch this month there were a number of players in contention for the player of the month award.

1st XV: Andrew Schofield
This gnarly back row has started at open side flanker in all three of October’s 1st XV wins. Andy has earned the plaudits with his impressive defence making big hits coupled with strong running in the loose. His match performances are matched at training with a high work rate in all drills.

2nd XV: Ali Glenn
Equally skilled in the second and back row Ali Glenn has been ever present in the 2nd and 3rd XV this year. Putting in the hard graft at training and on the pitch Ali has dazzled with his strong jumping in the line out and solid defence.

3rd XV: Eben Williams
Joining as a student Eben has taken to the Bedian ethos like a duck to water.
The versatile forward has had some excellent performances at hooker and back row this month.
He has shown enthusiasm and leadership at training and on match days captaining the third XV and leading from the front.

In recognition of the award, all three players will receive a prize of two tickets to the Bonfire & Fireworks this Saturday or one ticket to a future Sale Sharks home game.
