All three Old Bedians teams have fixtures this Saturday as they face Mossley Hill, Moore and Wythenshawe respectively.

Let’s take a closer look at our opponents:

Mossley Hill 1st XV v Old Bedians 1st XV
Perfecting a non-nonsense style of rugby, the Liverpudlian side will be a formidable opponent for Old Bedians.
Sitting just below Bedians in sixth place Mossley Hill have won two of their opening five fixtures recording victories against Ruskin Park and Prenton.
The last time the two teams met was in March 2018 when Didsbury’s men carved out a 35-17 fixture. Bedians first team have enjoyed a spell of good form in recent weeks and will be looking to make it three wins on the bounce.
Captain Ben Rogerson will be looking for another strong performance from his pack, the scrum half will no doubt be aware of the strong threat Mossley Hill pose and know Bedians can take noting for granted on Saturday.

The game kicks off at 3pm at Mossley Hill Athletic Club, Liverpool, L18 4PT

Old Bedians 2nd XV v Moore 1st XV
The Gentlemen of Moore are no strangers to Old Bedians. In Bedians league winning 2016/17 campaign, Moore were one of only three teams to record a win against Bedians, notching up a 37-26 victory in September 2016. However, scores were settled in the returning fixture with Bedians beating Moore 35-3 at home.
Moore are new to Division 3 South having earned promotion last season. The Warrington side have had a mixed start to the season racking up big victories against Carrington, TocH and Lymm Eagles but have equally failed to beat Knutsford, Prenton and Anselmians.
Bedians defence will have to be unflappable to contain Moore’s attacking prowess, high flying fullback Joe Pidgeon is perched at the top of Moore’s scoring charts with 9 so far this season.

The game kicks off at 3pm at Old Bedians Sports Club, Didsbury, M20 5QX.

Old Bedians 3rd XV v Wythenshawe 1st XV
One of the recent success stories of North West amateur rugby has been the emergence of Wythenshawe rugby club. The club established itself as a brand new entity only three years ago having begun with a youth section.
Old Bedians have enjoyed a number of fixtures in their short lifetime but Saturday marks the first competitive game. Wythenshawe enter into Division 5 East having built up experience with social friendlies.
Bedians have an unbeaten streak to protect against Wythenshawe but with Wythenshawe enjoying a 100% win ratio this season something has got to give! This promises to be a corker of a game.

The game kicks off at 3pm at Old Bedians Sports Club, Didsbury, M20 5QX.

Old Bedians are still recruiting for the upcoming season. All player new or returning are welcome, get in touch by emailing oldbedians@gmail.com or finding us on social media - we’re on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
